There’s a lot to like about Simeon (IL) shooting guard Ahamad Bynum.
The 6-1 student-athlete has a pretty looking jump shot and is fearless around the rim. He put his game on display this summer with Mac Irvin Fire (IL) on the Nike circuit and offers started to follow him.
Missouri, who reached out to offer in late June, is one local high major that definitely caught his eye.
“Missouri talked to me about staying on my game and staying consistent,” he said. “I was excited and blessed to be offered by them.”
Nebraska along with Missouri offered in June before the Peach Jam, while St. Louis, Illinois, Northern Illinois, Illinois-Chicago and DePaul all offered as well.
“Coaches like my scoring ability,” he said. “And my intensity to the game.”
Now that he’s done with AAU, Bynum has started to think about visits and plans to visit his hometown school soon.
“I’m supposed to be visiting Illinois before I start school back,” he said. “But I’ll probably visit in September.”
