Geronimo Rubio-De La Rosa, a native of the Dominican Republic, has been on a tear recently.
Rubio-De La Rosa averaged 24.5 points, seven rebounds and four steals for his high school Brookside Christian, according to MaxPreps, and apparently Arkansas State was paying attention because they offered him a scholarship.
“I was in shock,” Rubio-De La Rosa said. “I didn’t expect it.”
Along with Arkansas State, Pacific and Saint Mary’s are also following the 2021 guard who resides in Cali with Santa Clara coming at him the hardest.
He’s far from a decision and is still enjoying the recruiting process. But, when it comes time for him to make a decision, he will know exactly what he’s looking for.
“A school where I can feel comfortable,” he said. “And that is good at sports but also academically.”
