Coaches from all different levels have been keeping in touch with 2021 point guard Angelo Brizzi.
Columbia, Howard, Pepperdine, Navy, Brown, Loyola (MD) and Princeton have all offered. Maryland, Northwestern, Virginia, NC State, Yale, Cal, Stanford, Iowa, BYU, Michigan, West Virginia and William & Mary are all keeping tabs.
Ivy league and high academic programs have been tracking him from the start, and it’s something he’s very proud of, and something he’s not taking lightly.
“I take my academics very seriously and pride myself on earning good grades,” he said. “So high academic programs interest me a lot.”
He plans on taking a visit to Princeton, “sometime in August or September,” but he hasn’t set the date yet.
Iowa, who recently reached out to express interest, has also piqued his interest and he spoke to ScoopmanTV about that relationship.
“I’ve talked to Coach [Sherman] Dillard from Iowa,” he explained. “He’s a great guy to talk to and I hope to continue to grow our relationship because that’s a great program.”
Virginia has also reached out recently to express interest and Brizzi discussed their pitch with us as well.
“Virginia has just said that they like my game,” Brizzi said. “I’m high on their radar for 2021.”
