2021 center Logan Duncomb of Archbishop Moeller (OH) received a surprise call from Indiana head coach Archie Miller.
Miller spoke to Duncomb about his game and then offered him a scholarship.
“I was surprised because they didn’t really talk to me prior or anything,” he said. “I knew they were watching a lot of our games, but I didn’t have much contact with the coaches. So it came as a bit of a surprise.”
Duncomb is still learning about the program and the coaching staff, but he does know some about the school and he’s heard good things about Indiana.
“I do know that they are a good program,” he said. “They’ve got good academics and they’ve got a good history. I’ve only heard the best.”
Ohio State, Wisconsin, Xavier, Iowa, Cincinnati, Miami and Winthrop have offered, with schools like Virginia, Purdue and Stanford showing interest.
“They like how hard I work,” he explained. “How I get a lot of rebounds and do the little things.”
Duncomb has a long recruiting process ahead of him. He hasn’t thought much about his recruitment as of late, but he has started to think about potential visits.
Wisconsin, who offered earlier this week, will host the 6-9 center for an unofficial visit on August 6th.
“I know I’m going to watch the players do a walk through and I think I’m going to visit the campus,” he said. “Other than that, I’m not sure what’s going to happen.”
He could potentially visit Ohio State as well this month, and has more visits planned for September.
“I have a lot of visits planned for September during football season,” he said. “I’m still trying to figure those out–no set dates.”
