There’s a name coaches should be keeping track of these days.
2020 point guard Da-Jon Dancil, a three time defensive player of the year at Southwest Dekalb (GA), has a lot of college coaches on his radar.
He has one offer currently from Canisius but plenty of schools showing interest. Arizona State, Missouri, Murray State, Temple, Ohio, Butler, Northwestern, Stetson, Northeastern, Brown and Dartmouth, among others are keeping track of the 6-4 lead guard with a 6-11 wingspan.
“I’m a 6-4 point guard that plays both ends of the court,” Dancil said. “I take pride in my defense. I’m kind of known as a dunker/slasher but my jumpshot is on point as well.”
A lot of coaches have told Dancil that they like his size, handles, athleticism and IQ.
I expect his recruitment will pick up once he’s able to showcase his talents at United Prep (FL) this year with coach Cody Henson.
