Mount Si (WA) shooting guard Jabe Mullins is done with AAU and has started to focus on recruiting. He narrowed down his list of schools to seven with Utah State, Princeton, UC-Santa Barbara, St. Mary’s, Stanford, Oregon State and Colorado State involved.

“All the schools recruiting me feel as if I am a top priority for them which feels good,” he said. “Oregon State has definitely made it clear to me that I am pretty much the only guard they are recruiting for 2020, and they are pretty set on me, which feels awesome.”

So far, he has two official visits scheduled and is trying to figure out the other three.

He’s set to visit Stanford officially starting September 20th and Oregon State officially starting September 27th.

“The Pac-12 is a very good conference and I know the most about that conference than any other because I’ve always grown up watching the Pac-12 schools,” he explained. “The schools in the Pac-12 that have offered me are all close to home, compete at a high level and develop kids very well. Those are probably the most intriguing things to me about these schools.”

Mullins is a big, physical, 6-5 guard that can play multiple positions. At the Adidas Finale with Team Lavine, Mullins put his full game on display, and stood out due to his versatility. His jump shot makes you pay attention, but he does so much more on the floor, which is why he’ll be a steal for any program that gets him.

“Coaches like that I am a big guard that can play and defend the one through three,” Mullins said. “They appreciate my passing ability and say that I am an underrated passer. They like how well I can shoot it and how I make my teammates better, and how I lead.”

Mullins is two months away from announcing his college decision. Once he finishes his final official visit in October, he plans to announce his decision.
