Valparaiso added a key addition to their roster yesterday when 2020 forward Jacob Ognacevic announced his commitment to the program.
“What made me commit right now was just the overall feeling of it being the right decision,” he explained. “After the official visit and just seeing how they do things, I determined that Valpo was the place that I wanted to be.”
The 6-8 forward had been very interested in Valpo before his visit and then after being on campus he, “just decided that it was the right place for me.”
Valparaiso adds a very versatile forward that is eager to prove his worth. He becomes the first 2020 recruit for Valpo head coach Matt Lottich.
“I feel like I can bring a lot of different things. I’ll bring scoring and rebounding, I feel like I do those two things very well right now and I will keep on improving with those two skills,” he said. “I also want to bring good defense too. I’m not the best at defense right now but I’ll keep on improving with that as well, so hopefully by the time I start college I’ll be able to defend at a high level.”
