Aspire Academy (KY) big Gethro Muscadin has quite the amount of suitors following his progression.
K-State, Houston, Minnesota, UConn, UNLV, VCU, Washington State, Utah State, New Mexico, Creighton, Colorado, Tulsa, Louisiana Tech, St. Louis, Kansas and Mississippi State are involved with the 6-10, 2020 center.
“They like how hard I play, they way I compete, my versatility,” he said. “Being able to do a lot on the court and my skills.”
K-State, UNLV, VCU, Minnesota, Utah State, Colorado State and New Mexico are making him a priority and have stood out as the teams recruiting him the hardest.
He doesn’t have any visits planned currently, but does plan to start taking some official visits in September.
At the moment
Muscadin stood out at the Adidas Finale in Ladera Ranch, California with YGC36. He helped YGC36 win the Gauntlet Finale, while also showcasing his improved game.
Muscadin is still fairly new to basketball and he wasn’t really interested in coaches asking him about the possibility of reclassing to 2019 and enrolling to college right away.
He’s slowing down the process for himself and taking his time with his recruitment.
“I’m really taking everything slow right now,” he said. “I’m taking my time and building relationships with coaches.”
He will likely cut his list down in the next couple weeks, he tells me. He will cut it to 10 initially, then five and then a final three.
