Four programs have already reached out to Jonathan Aybar to offer him a scholarship.
Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson, Florida International and Florida Atlantic have all offered, while Murray State and many more have shown interest.
At this point in his recruitment, Aybar is ready to take visits. Stetson has been the latest school to try and get Aybar up to campus, and he’s planning to take an unofficial visit there soon.
Florida Atlantic also hosted the promising senior for an unofficial visit in June, and he walked away very impressed with the program.
“[I liked] a lot actually. The coaching staff, first and foremost, and the campus location,” he said. “I also liked the campus and the pond they have with it, and also the plans they have for me, and what I can do with their team.”
Right now, he’s content with improving his game and waiting to see what other options are available to him in the long run. He isn’t ready to make any recruiting decisions or narrow down his list any time soon.
“I’m still growing in basketball,” he said. “So, I’m waiting for more opportunities from other schools then I’ll narrow down.”
