Ray Daniels talks first D1 offer

jkn1kmss_400x400Last season, Whitman College finished the year with two losses, a perfect conference record and was flawless at home.

That kind of success is exactly why Ray Daniels is considering their program, but they may have gotten some stiff competition after Rider reached out to offer the 2020 wing.

“I woke up to my AAU/high school coach calling me and he told me that Rider was me a scholarship,” he explained. “I was shocked and speechless. I felt real blessed and real grateful.”

There’s a lot to like about Daniels on the wing. He has great size at 6-6 and can do a lot of things on both ends of the court.

“I feel like they like me for my defense and my aggression,” he said. “The way I get to the basket and the way I stay calm in tough situations.”

Rider becomes the first Division I program to get involved with Daniels and they certainly won’t be the only ones to like the 2020 Somerset Losee (NV) wing.
