A lot more schools are starting to get to know Australian wing Leyi Adebayo.
The 6-8 prospect has offers from Portland, UC-Riverside, Hofstra and UMKC. San Diego, Dartmouth and Davidson are also showing interest.
Right now, he’s representing Australia at Oceania Championships in New Caledonia. Next month, he will be back in the states taking official visits.
He is still scheduling his official visit to UC-Riverside, but has scheduled an official with Portland for September 21-23.
He could schedule more visits in the future, but right now, those are the two he’s focused on. In the very near future, he could decide as well.
He admittedly stated that he had no idea when he could decide, but he could maybe see himself put pen to paper in November.
It won’t take much to get him on campus, just the essentials that every basketball player looks for in a program.
“Good trust with the coaching staff,” he said. “And a system I feel I can fit in.”
