New Hampshire point guard Bol Akot has hit the visit stage of his recruitment but don’t expect him to decide soon.
The 6-foot point guard has Fairfield, Niagara, Towson, Siena and New Mexico, to name a few, recruiting currently, and has set up official visits to two in September.
He will be at Fairfield starting September 20th and then Towson the following week starting the 27th.
“I’m just trying to see how it is on campus and if I’ll like how it is,” he said. “See how the coaches are and if it’s a good fit.”
At The Moment
Right now, Akot plans to keep his options open and will likely decide, “through the season a bit but not too late,” he said.
A few schools started to pick up the pace in his recruitment, and a lot more have started to become intrigued with his game. He could also opt to reclass to 2021 if he needs more time it will depend heavily on, “how I feel throughout the year,” he said.
But at this point, the plan is to stay in 2020, play out the season, take his visits and then decide when the timing is right.
“I’m using all five official visits and that’s why I’m waiting,” he said. “I’m talking to schools and seeing what schools want me on official visits and what schools I would want to go to.”
