Versatile 2021 wing Brooks Barnhizer has four early offers as he enters his junior year at Lafayette Jefferson (IN).
Butler, Western Kentucky, Detroit and Evansville have offered him so far with many other schools showing interest.
At 6-6, Barnhizer has the size and intangibles to be a good wing at the next level with a skill set that allows him to play multiple positions on the court.
Since open gyms began, Butler, Western Kentucky, Nevada, Evansville, Northwestern and Ball State have been in the gym to watch, he told me.
Butler, who offered this week, came to see him during open runs and the program within in his homestate really impressed him with the offer.
“It was really humbling honestly,” he said. “That’s a great school with some amazing history and it’s awesome because I’m from Indianapolis myself.”
