After a successful four year career at South Pike High School (MS), Jalon Andrews decided to take the Junior College route and enroll at Southwest Mississippi Community College.

He was one of the best defenders in his class, and certainly stood out due to his size and ability. Since enrolling at SMCC, Southeast Missouri State, UNC Asheville, Jacksonville, Chicago State, South Carolina State, Akron, Southern, American, Nicholls State, Lamar, Cornell, Rhode Island and Delaware State have reached out to recruit the 6-8 big.

His recruitment has moved along nicely, and Andrews isn’t waiting long to see some of the programs looking to recruit him.

He tells me he’s going to UNC-Asheville for an official visit starting the 19th and then will venture off to Jacksonville the following weekend (September 27th).
