2020 wing Selton Miguel of West Oaks Academy (FL) has narrowed down his list of schools to five and plans to make a decision October 1st.
“It’s going to come down to a great fit and somewhere that feels like family to me,” he said. “I’m going to discuss them all with my coach and guardian and then make a decision.”
Miguel narrowed down to Kansas State, TCU, Western Kentucky, South Florida, and Texas A&M.
He just finished up an official to Kansas State a few weekends ago when they played host to Bowling Green, and then visited Western Kentucky in early August.
“I really like all the schools in my top five because they are the schools that have recruited me the most,” he said.
He’s had plenty of programs attempt to get involved in the past few weeks with programs like Oklahoma State, Alabama and St. John’s coming to town for visits.
But it really just came down to the schools that made him a priority and he broke down the things he liked about each specific program in his top five.
Kansas State: They’ve been recruiting me the most since like my freshman year. So they’ve been in touch with me since my freshman year.
TCU: I really have a good relationship with the coaches and they have been in touch with me since the day they offered me.
Western Kentucky: They offered in July after the summer and they have been in touch with me since then.
South Florida: They were the first school to offer me when I was in eighth grade.
Texas A&M: The coach at Texas A&M is really close friends with my guardian (Vince Walden).
