Indiana State is hoping that it can keep Nick Hittle in-state after his official visit to campus this weekend.

“It was great,” Hittle said. “The coaches were all very down to earth and I especially enjoyed spending time with the players as they were a good group of guys to be around.”

Indiana State stands as his only offer at the moment with interest coming from American, Citadel and VMI. His recruitment is just starting to pick up as of late, so expect a lot more movement in the coming weeks for the 6-10 big from Indiana that has a Division I ready game.

“[Coaches] like my shooting ability. Being able to shoot the three very well and spread the floor with the ability to play outside,” he said. “They also liked how I could play around the rim and with my back to the basket very well. They also liked my passing ability in finding the open man and making the right plays.”

Hittle’s versatilty at 6-10 makes him a big threat in my offense at the Division I level. He’s hoping his game gets out to more coaches in the coming weeks because he wants to make some recruiting decisions soon.

“Right now, I’m open,” he explained. “But I will be narrowing down soon.”
