After leaving Cal State Fullerton in early 2019, Landon Kirkwood ended up at Broward College (FL) under second year head coach Anthony Anderson with a healthy list of programs after him.
So far, USC Upstate and Illinois-Chicago have offered with Florida International, Texas State, Boise State, Iona, Illinois State, Cleveland State among others showing interest. He’s had over 16 Division I programs reach out to him in the past month or so.
“They like that I can shoot the ball well and that I’m very athletic,” he said.
The 6-5 guard from Brooklyn Center, Minnesota is enjoying the process and doesn’t have a timetable for his recruitment. He will let things play out and then seek advice from his coach as to when it’s time for him to start narrowing things down.
“I’m open until coach thinks my recruitment is at it’s peak,” he said.
