Von Steuben (IL) forward Ola Ajiboye had offers from in-state program Illinois-Chicago and Chicago State, but Saint Louis jumped in recently bringing his scholarship count to three and exciting him in the process.

“I was very honored a big time school like Saint Louis believes in me,” he said. “I’m a player who likes to win and the school is a winning program.”

Toledo, North Dakota and UC Davis are the other programs currently recruiting him right now. According to Ajiboye, North Dakota and UC Davis are the two schools that are recruiting him the hardest.

“[Coaches] like my mid range shooting extending to the three,” he said. “My rebounding offensively and defensively, rim running and blocking shots.”

Being 2021, Ajiboye has plenty of time to make a name for himself. He isn’t rushing to decide but he does know what he’s looking for in a basketball program.

“I’m looking for a program I can fit into,” he said. “Get a strong connection with my coaches and teammates, and play my role.”
