Programs coming at UTEP transfer

eccb8aqwwaaozbhUTEP transfer Cahiem Brown, now at Georgia Highlands College (GA), is a wanted man.

Albany, Illinois State and Troy have offered so far with interest coming from Southern Illinois, Stony Brook, Lamar, Texas-Rio Grande, Wichita State, Maryland Eastern Shore and more.

Troy and Illinois State have been to see him during the Jamborees and at his school during practices, and have intensified their recruiting efforts.

“They really enjoyed my level of understanding of the game,” Brown said. “Me being a big guard and being able to make the right plays and handle it well is a benefit. Also, my game fits the role that will be needed for their programs next year.”

Right now, Brown is, “just building a relationship,” with the coaches right now but will not waste anyone time. If he knows where he is going, he will commit.

“I am looking forward to committing early if I feel like that is the best situation possible,” he confessed. “I am not going to rush the process but hopefully after a few visits, I will be more comfortable with making a decision.”
