All eyes were on ESPN five-star point guard Jalen Suggs at the half of the prep game between The Patrick School (NJ) and Sierra Canyon (CA).

Suggs, who considered Minnesota, Iowa State, Gonzaga, Florida and Florida State, announced his commitment to Gonzaga and head coach Mark Few.

Back in July, Suggs told USA Today High School Sports, “You don’t like Gonzaga; you love it. From meeting all the alumni and talking to the coaching staff, it’s just nothing but positivity on my side.”

Suggs joins ESPN four-star shooting guard Dominick Harris of Rancho Christian School (CA) and ESPN four-star Julian Strawther of Liberty (NV).

Suggs is the highest rated recruit to commit to Gonzaga and coach Few since 2007, when then Woodbridge (CA) forward Austin Daye committed to the Zags. At the time, he was the No. 27th rated recruit in ESPN Top 100 in the class of 2007. He finished high school with a scouts grade of 97 and was ranked No. 4 for his position.

Suggs currenly ranks as the No. 6 prospect in the class of 2020, No. 1 in the state of Minnesota and No. 2 at his position.
