At one point Samford had told 2020 6-10 center Daniel Saylor that there weren’t any scholarships remaining for his class.
So when Samford finally reached out to offer the Sycamore (TN) product a scholarship it was kind of surprising.
“I was very surprised,” Saylor said. “And honored because they had told me they didn’t have any scholarships left.”
Stanford, Vanderbilt, Brown, VMI, UT Chattanooga and Army, among others, are currently recruiting him right now.
“Coaches say they like how I can run the floor as a big man,” he said. “They like my passing and vision, and they like my upside with development.”
As of now Saylor doesn’t have any visits planned and is completely open in the process. I wouldn’t expect a decision to come anytime soon.
