PA guard adding offers

Unsigned senior point guard Jaeden Zackery is among the more under-the-radar student-athletes in the state of Pennsylvania.

The 6-3 lead guard has been a huge part of The Scotland Campus’ (PA) success this year and college coaches are starting to take notice.

In just a few days, Central Connecticut State, Wagner and Coppin State offered the 2020 guard.

“It’s really big honestly to have picked up those offers,” Zackery explained. “I feel like it gives me a kind of motivational boost.”

Cal-Berkeley also recently reached out and Loyola-Chicago was in to see him recently at the National Prep Championship.

Loyola-Chicago is one of the newer programs in his recruitment but he’s done his homework and he’s intrigued by the possibility.

“I like the school,” he said. “I’m going to visit I believe within the next few weeks.”

He also plans on taking an unofficial to Wagner soon. He doesn’t have a specific date lined up yet but he does plan on taking it after he finishes up with the National Prep Championship tournament.

“I’m really just expecting to see the campus and where I would be staying,” he said. “Just what it would be like to be there honestly.”

St. Peter’s and Southern Illinois are also actively recruiting him currently. He contends that he’s still wide open in the process but he could start making some recruiting decisions in the near future.

“I’m going to give it a month or a few to see if anything else comes up,” he said when asked if he plans on narrowing down soon.
