Former Western Illinois point guard Kobe Webster is transferring to Nebraska, he told ScoopmanTV.com.

After Western Illinois parted ways with head coach Billy Wright, Webster put his name in the transfer portal and landed in the Big Ten with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

“Five out offense. A head coach with a ton of experience and success,” he said. “I couldn’t pass it up.”

Webster joins a huge recruiting class at Nebraska that he’s confident he can lead. One of the things he told ScoopmanTV previously is that he’s looking for a program that give him the opportunity to continue to produce at a high level and be a significant part of winning.

He’s confident that’s Nebraska and didn’t waste anytime announcing his intentions.

Webster averaged 17.1 points, 3.6 assist and 3.2 rebounds in his junior campaign for Western Illinois.
