Drexel offers Archbishop Wood junior guard

Drexel offered 2021 South Jersey guard Marcus Randolph, who is playing his high school basketball at Archbishop Wood (PA) this season.

Drexel has been around since the previous summer, where they saw him playing for Team Final (PA) on the Nike Circuit.

The staff did their took their time, but at the end of the day, Randolph has been too good, and too consistent, to not offer a scholarship.

“Not really surprised just happy,” he said of adding an offer from Drexel. “Every offer is just a blessing and more motivation to keep going.”

The pair of Randolph and point Rahsool Diggins had Wood navigating through the PIAA 5A playoffs with ease.

Two two also played for the same AAU program before Randolph transferred over and started assisting Diggins in adding hardware to the Wood trophy case. That familiarity and continuity amongst the backcourt has worked well as Randolph heads into the summer with a healthy list of programs tracking him.

Temple, La Salle, Hofstra, Richmond, Bryant and Delaware State have also offered Randolph. Delaware, Georgia, Loyola-Chicago and more are showing interest.

“They like my feel for the game,” Randolph explained. “My attitude and demeanor, and my ability to score the ball.”
