2020 Florida SouthWestern State College (FL) forward Jermaine Marshall has been a top target for coaches recently.

Kent State, Southern Miss, UAB and Fresno State offered in the past 30 days. Add, Drake and Florida Gulf Coast as the other programs that have offered.

Sam Houston State also recently offered the junior college forward. Recently, might be a bit misleading because the staff had assumed they had offered before, but there was some miscommunication there.

“They actually been offered me. I must’ve misunderstood the coach and didn’t know until yesterday that it was official,” Marshall explained. “I was just blessed to have received an offer, and knowing that the coach thinks I’m good enough to come play for him.”

Marshall concluded his year at Florida SouthWestern State College averaging 10.2 points, 8.8 rebounds on 49.8-percent from the field and 32.8 percent from three.

The 6-6 freshman finished the season First Team All-Conference in the Suncoast Conference, the all-time single season rebounding leader (255) and set the program record for double-doubles in a career (12).

It’s easy to see why many programs are starting to take notice in the forward that has the potential to clean up things on the glass and slash towards the rim.

“I would say coaches love my motor,” he said. “And my ability to rebound.”

Temple, South Florida, Southern Illinois, Loyola-Chicago, Texas State, Wofford, Portland State and UC Davis are all showing interest.
