ESPN four-star point guard Zion Harmon will be attending Western Kentucky, he announced.
Harmon chose Western Kentucky over offers from Kansas, Maryland, Murray State and Seton Hall.
Harmon ranked 20th in ESPN 60 rankings is the highest rated guard since ESPN started rating high school talent in 2007, and also the highest rated, second only to Charles Bassey in 2018.
Harmon is a very talented point guard that has a lot of upside. He is one of the very few players to every suit up as a freshman on the 17U Nike EYBL circuit and finish a full season.
He’s also has the chance to be the first player in the 2021 class to score over 1,000 points on the EYBL circuit. Harmon is currently 248 points away from being the first 1k scorer in his class ahead of a lot of players ranked higher than him.
Player | ESPN Rank | Points |
Zion Harmon | No. 20 | 751 |
Paolo Banchero | No. 4 | 699 |
Jaden Hardy | No. 5 | 681 |
Jonathan Kuminga | No. 1 | 588 |
Daeshun Ruffin | No. 21 | 475 |
He’s shifty, very quick off the bounce and a really good jump shooter. He should come in and change the program from day one.
