Kent State’s fourth leading scorer Anthony Roberts is in the transfer portal after just two seasons with the program.
After playing in only two games in his first season, Roberts finished his sophomore year averaging 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assist.
With two years of eligibility remaining, college programs are hoping to recreate his success within their system and didn’t waste time reaching out.
St. Bonaventure, Xavier, Colorado State, Loyola-Chicago, Detroit and Northwestern have all reached out to 6-4 guard from Detroit, Michigan.
St. Bonaventure was one of the recent programs to get involved, and Roberts is very familiar with the program.
“They were actually recruiting me out of high school,” Roberts explained. “So, I wasn’t surprised, and they are a great staff.”
Roberts will not rush his decision and will be looking for, “next level player development and a strong fan base,” he said, at his next stop.
