After spending the last three years at Sacred Heart, E.J. Anosike placed his name in the transfer portal and coaches jumped all over the grad transfer.
He was one of the only players on the market to average a double-double the season prior and many teams wanted his talents on their campus.
In his final year with the program, Anosike averaged 15.7 points and 11.6 rebounds on 48-percent shooting from the field.
Many schools offered but Louisville, Wake Forest, Georgia, Gonzaga, Georgetown and Boston College, were the main programs involved, and Tennessee was the call when it mattered.
“It was a perfect fit,” Anosike said. “I love everything about the program.”
Anosike joins an already stacked 2020 Tennessee recruiting class that features ESPN five-stars Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson, four-stars Corey Walker and Malachi Wideman, and three-star point guard Santiago Vescovi.
