McCook Community College (NE) point guard Raheim Sullivan finished the season first-team All Conference and honorable mention All-Region.

The 6-1 Toronto, Ontario native averaged 16.2 points, 4.2 assist, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

“I was very surprised,” he said of being named first-team All Conference. “All the hard work I put in showed in the end. I’m very blessed.”

St. Bonaventure, followed him for most of the year liked what they saw and wasted very little time offering Sullivan a scholarship following the conclusion of their season.

He’s been in contact with the coaching staff pretty regularly and likes where the relationship is heading.

“It’s good,” he said of his relationship with the St. Bonaventure coaching staff. “It’s going to get better throughout time.”

Georgia State, Marist, Utah Valley, SIU-Edwardsville, Cal State Fullerton, Oral Roberts and Stony Brook are also recruiting Sullivan.

Sullivan is a versatile guard that can do a lot for a team at the one spot. He can play both ways and attack defenses in transition.

“I’m crafty with the ball,” he said. “And can create my own shot at anytime.”

If everything goes as planned, Sullivan could make his decision around mid-April. He doesn’t have plans to narrow down and make a shortlist before deciding but he does know exactly what he wants in a program.

“I just want to be able to showcase my skills,” he said. “And have an opportunity to play my game.”
