Yesterday the NCAA Division I Council Coordination Committee and the Division II Administrative Committee elected to extend the recruiting dead period through May 31st.

Essentially college programs at the Division I and II levels are still permitted to contact prospective student-athletes but it can not be done in person. Therefore meaning, prospective student-athletes will not be permitted to visit college campuses on an unofficial or official visit during the period.
Official definition provided by the NCAA about a “dead period.”
During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.NCAA.com
