Division II point guard R.J. Glasper is a Division I target after entering the transfer portal.
The 6-foot guard from Arkansas Tech has been in contact with Radford, Oral Roberts, Missouri State, Tennessee State, Towson, UC-Riverside, Idaho State, Liberty, San Francisco, California Baptist, Southern Illinois, SIU-Edwardsville, Abilene Christian, Sam Houston State, Campbell, Mount Saint Mary’s and Arkansas State, among others.
Glasper averaged 17.6 points, 6.0 assist and 3.4 rebounds last season at Arkansas Tech, and feels confident he can be effective at the Division I level as well.
“I’m very confident,” he said. “I know I can compete at the highest level.”
There has been plenty of coaches that have been in contact with Glasper since his name hit the portal. The coaches have all told Glasper what they like about his game and there has been a lot of overlap.
“[Coaches like] my ability to score and create open shots for other players,” Glasper said. “And my ability to play in the pick and roll.”
Glasper will make a decision before ever step foot on the campus prior. He will inevitably make that decision very soon.
“I’m looking to make a decision very soon,” Glasper said. “Hopefully in the next week.”
