Iowa State transfer Zion Griffin is inching closer to a possible commitment.
The 6-6 sophomore forward narrowed down his list of programs to six with Buffalo, Illinois-Chicago, Wyoming, Ball State, Grand Canyon and Toledo involved.
A lot of programs reached out but now was a good time to narrow his focus due to simple reasons.
“I won’t be able to take any visits for a while,” he said. “And, I’m comfortable with the schools I have now.”
At Iowa State, Griffin averaged 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in just 10.7 minutes per game.
He never consistently got significant minutes and that’s something he’ll be looking for at his next stop.
“Somewhere I can get an opportunity to showcase my skills and win a lot of games with guys that want the same thing,” he said.
A timeline for his commitment hasn’t been planned. He doesn’t have a date set for when he will decide.
“When I know where I want to go, I’ll commit,” he said.
