Rhode Island freshman has high major offers and interest

Taylor Bol Bowen isn’t your average freshman.

The 6-foot-8 freshman has early offers from Vermont and George Mason, with the latest coaching from Iowa.

The staff got in early and are already starting to build a connection.

“I’m early in my relationship with the coaching staff at Iowa and they have showed nothing but love up to this point,” Bowen explained. “I’m looking forward to continue to build our relationship.”

Clemson, Indiana, Providence, Marquette, Rutgers, Penn State and Rhode Island are the latest programs to show interest.

According to those around him, Bowen is the kind of player who doesn’t come around often. His immediately passes the eye test and has a game that could make him an intimidating two-way player for years to come.

“I’m an athletic 6-8 wing with a 7-foot wingspan. So my biggest strength is my ability to be versatile,” he said. “I can score the ball at all three levels and defend multiple positions. More than anything I’m a competitor and willing to provide whatever my team needs to win.”

“I know I have a lot of upside and I want to make sure I work so I can fulfil my potential.”
