SEMO adds underrated Louisiana guard

Howard College (TX) point guard Eric Reed Jr is headed to Southeast Missouri State to play for head coach Brad Korn, he announced via Twitter.

Reed chose SEMO over offers from Sam Houston State, New Orleans, Albany, NJIT and more.

“What made me commit to SEMO, first and for most, was Coach Korn,” Reed explained. “A head coach with the credentials that he has with coaching at K-State and being around professional guys. I feel he can potentially get me ready for the highest level.”

SEMO is getting a point guard that averaged 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assist per game last season.

He’s a guard that can do a little bit of everything on the floor, and has the size to play both positions in the backcourt.

SEMO adds one of the more undderrated junior college guards in the country that will be an immediate impact in coach Korn’s system.

“I think I’ll fit perfectly in the offense,” he said. “I know what he’s looking for and I’m sure I can provide it.”
