Southeast Missouri State sophomore Sage Tolbert was one of the top transfers on the market.
The 6-8 forward had schools such as Georgia, New Mexico, Wichita State, James Madison, Kent State, Tulane, and plenty more reach out to him.
When it was all said and done though, the connection he made with Aaron McKie and his staff made the most sense for himself, on-and-off the court.
“I just felt like it was a good fit,” Tolbert explained. “From the staff to the facilities, to the campus life.”
Tolbert averaged 9.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game on 55-percent shooting from the field for the Redhawks.
He joins a Temple program that will utilize his size and versatility at the forward spot.
“I think I’ll fit really well,” he said. “They play how I like to play.”
