Otero JC (CO) forward Leighton Elliott-Sewell is still one of the best available bigs on the market and he recently got an offer from Nicholls State.
“Me and coach [Joey] Brooks have some real good talks about what we would be able to achieve together there,” Elliott-Sewell said.
Nicholls State, along with St Thomas Aquinas, Queens, Florida Tech and Saint Leo are recruiting him.
Elliot-Sewell averaged 10.6 points and 10.2 rebounds on 63-percent shooting. He was ninth in all of JUCO in offensive rebounds and top-20 in total rebounds.
“They really love how hard I play and the energy I bring,” he said. “I’m also all over the boards on both ends which they really like.”
Elliot-Sewell is moving towards making a decision very soon. He’s still open to hearing from programs but wants to commit sooner than later.
“I’m looking to make my final decision within the next few weeks,” he said.
