College programs haven’t stopped recruiting Dream City Christian (AZ) wing Ramel Lloyd Jr due to the coronavirus.

He’s actually started to hear from more programs, and picked up two more scholarship offers in the process.

6-foot-6 wing Lloyd Jr announced scholarship offers from UMass and St. John’s via his Twitter account, and both coaches were very impressed with his game.

“I have a good relationship with Tyson Wheeler [assistant coach],” Lloyd Jr said of UMass. “And it’s in the A-10, which is a good conference.”

St. John’s is also an intriguing program for him as well. The coaches watched him at some point during his season at Taft (CA) and liked what they saw.

“St. John’s is a Big East school with a rich history,” he said. “They love how I play and my game, and wanted to offer me.”

Wake Forest has been in contact recently, along with Oregon, UCLA, Syracuse, Georgetown, Kansas and Washington.
