The race for bigs in the class of 2020 remains a competitive one, while Kansas and New Mexico State have one in their sight.
After picking up offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Illinois, Miami, TCU, UTEP and Central Florida over the course of his recruitment, 2020 Universal Academy (TX) power forward JaQuan Scott is now down to two programs.
His decision will likely occur, “sometime in May,” he said, while he’s narrowed his focus to the Kansas Jayhawks and New Mexico State Aggies.
Here’s what he said when asked about what he likes about each of his finalist.
New Mexico State: “The coaches and atmosphere at New Mexico State, and how [head coach Chris Jans] he’ll let us play and learn off of our mistakes.”
Kansas: “The fan base is amazing and the environment and atmosphere is as well.”
