2020 Von Steuben (IL) guard Jack Hays has made his college decision.
The senior guard announced via his Twitter account that he will be attending Concordia University (MI).
“I chose Concordia University first off because of the energy that the coaches were giving me during the recruiting process and when I took my visit there in the fall,” Hays said. “It immediately felt like a home and place where Iβm able to further my athletic and academic career.”
Hays will have the opportunity to step in from day one and impact the program right away. He fits very well in their system and will likely thrive during his time in Michigan.
“I am able to be the player that I normally am on the court as a scorer,” he said. “From all three levels and still be a knockdown shooter in their sets.”
Hays chose Concordia over McHenry College and Milwaukee Tech. Both programs presented him with very opportunities to continue his basketball career, but it came down to the staff and how well he connected with them at Concordia.
“The whole basketball staff showed great appreciation to me and my mom when I took my visit there,” Hays explained. “Driving out to my season games during the season to support me. Knowing that I was wanted and as player next year for them.”
