2021 The Patrick School (NJ) center Samson Johnson had a good day yesterday after picking up two offers from high-level programs.

Johnson confirmed that Syracuse and Xavier offered him a scholarship yesterday, both also announced by his AAU program, the New York Jayhawks on the 3SSB Adidas circuit.

Syracuse offered just four hours after he received his offer from Xavier, and he’s thankful he received the offer.

“It’s a great staff with a great coach,” Johnson said of Syracuse. “They have a well-defined objective. I really like what their program is doing.”

Syracuse and Xavier join UConn and St. John’s as the other programs recruiting him currently.

He’s planning to do virtual visits will all the programs recruiting him currently, following his first with UConn that went well.

“UConn is a very great program,” he said. “A very good coaching staff.”

Coaches have paid attention to Johnson due to his length, size and athleticism. His game has consistently gotten better and after seeing him for the majority of last summer, I can say with certainty that he will be an impact player at the college level.
