2022 Our Saviour Lutheran (NY) forward Ibine Ayo Sadiku has the potential to be a very good Division I player in a few years, and Seton Hall wants in early.
The staff reached out to Sadiku’s coaches and extended an offer to the 6-foot-6 forward that plays his summer basketball with the New York Lightning.
“I am thankful and blessed to received an offer from Seton Hall,” Sadiku said. “I like that [Seton Hall] plays hard on both ends of the floor.”
Despite not being able to talk to Sadiku, Seton Hall is certainly pushing hard. They’ve already developed a good relationship with his coaches and have been around frequently to see him play. The relationship continues to improve and Seton Hall is definitely a program he’s interested in moving forward.
“I will say our relationship is cool,” Sadiku explained. “They come around to watch me and my teammates play often.”
St. John’s and UT-Martin have also already offered Sadiku with plenty of programs showing interest. Since he can’t officially talk to programs yet, he doesn’t know who’s all coming at him at the moment, but due to his game, he’s expecting a lot of calls in June.
“I’m a kid that plays hard on both ends,” he said. “I’m very versatile and can guard the one through five.”
