2022 Yorkville Christian (IL) shooting guard Jaden Schutt received two big time scholarship offers recently.
Schutt confirmed that Illinois and Creighton both offered him scholarships and announced the news via his Twitter account.
Creighton is a program he has followed closely through time and he likes the offense that they run.
“I like how they get up and down the floor and play fast,” he said of Creighton. “They are very efficient on offense.”
Being from Illinois, Schutt knows a lot about his home state program and has a lot of respect for what they’re doing.
“I grew up watching them on the Big Ten channel since a very young age,” he said. “I enjoyed watching them this year and I like how they play fast.”
Along with Illinois and Creighton, Illinois-Chicago, Southern Illinois and Drake have also offered the 6-foot-5 shooting guard. Lipscomb, Belmont, Loyola-Chicago, Purdue, Liberty, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, Stanford, Oregon, Ohio State and Northwestern are all showing interest.
I anticipate that more offers are likely to fly towards Schutt, who hears that college coaches, “like my shooting ability and athleticism,” he said.
