Butler CC (KS) sophomore guard Grehlon Easter is ready to decide and will likely commit in the next few days.
Cal State Bakersfield, Tarleton State, Jacksonville State, Maryland-Eastern Shore and Western Michigan are all involved, with the latest offer coming from CSU-Bakersfield.
“I’ve developed a great relationship with the coaching over the past week. They’ve been great to me,” he said. “I like that this is a program that is on the rise and this program is about winning and competing no matter who we’re up against, and coach [Rod] Barnes really wants you to develop off the court as much as he wants you to develop on the court.”
Easter finished his sophomore year at the junior college level averaging 14.8 points and 3.3 rebounds.
He gained respect from coaches because of his skill set, but also because of the energy he brings on the court.
“I’m a dog and a competitor,” he said. “I can defend and score on all three levels and bring great energy and I’m a winner!”
Before he makes his decision, he’s done virtual visits with Western Michigan and Maryland-Eastern Shore. He also recently completed one with CSU Bakersfield.
