Wyoming (OH) wing Isaiah Walker has picked up three offers in the past week starting with Loyola-Chicago.
Penn from the Ivy League also reached out to offer, along with Furman.
In total, Western Carolina, Youngstown State, Wright State, Nicholls State, Lehigh, Robert Morris, Loyola-Chicago, Penn and Furman have all offered with interest coming from Cincinnati, Belmont, Xavier and plenty more.
Walker, exemplifies every aspect of the world student-athlete, and that’s why Penn reached out to offer. It was his first Ivy League offer, and it might not be his last.
“My relationship with Penn is really close,” Walker explained. “I’ve gotten to know three of the coaches on their staff and I talked to one of their assistants for 45-minutes.”
“So I’ve gotten to know them pretty well even without being able to visit yet.”
Walker is one of the hottest recruits on the market currently picking up five offers in the past four weeks. Many programs continue to reach out by the day, and it’s definitely due to his emerging game.
“I would definitely say my versatility and my length,” Walker said of what coaches like. “I believe with my length and athleticism, I can play multiple positions and defend multiple positions, which is huge in today’s game.”
“And, my ability to score, as well, is what I believe is attracting coaches to me.”
Walker is wide open right now and being extremely humble throughout the process. He’s so eager to get to campus to meet some of the coaches that have had zoom or virtual visits with him since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
“I’ve actually done a lot of zoom meetings with coaches since this quarantine started,” he said. “I’ve done a few with Furman, one with Lehigh, and I did a virtual tour over zoom with Loyola-Chicago a few nights ago.”
“Those have definitely been huge in this recruiting process.”
