Coffeyville CC (KS) wing Larry White picked up his first offer this past week from UMKC.
White played in 31 games last season for Coffeyville, starting 16, while averaging 6.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while only playing 17.8 minutes.
“I had a zoom with the whole staff and it was pretty dope in many ways,” White explained. “One: just being my first offer was big; Two: it was just more motivation for me knowing I’m good enough to play at the next level.”
White is a player that many coaches will be familiar with as he enters his final year at the junior college level next season. He’s a wing that can do multiple things on the court, and UMKC definitely liked his energy and activity on both ends.
“Just how active I am,” he said. “How hard I play every time I step on the court and how I defend.”
