Cathedral Catholic (CA) point guard Alex Wade received his second offer yesterday, he confirms.
Hawaii reached out to extend an offer, joining UCSB as the other program who has offered him a scholarship.
“I have had a really good relationship with [assistant] coach [Chris] Gerlufson for a long time,” Wade said. “I have also seen a lot of the coaching staff at several of our games for the last several years so it’s been good to be able to build a relationship with them.”
So far, Wade has been heralded as a pure point guard, one that can completely control the game and outsmart players on both ends. It’s something a lot of coaches pay attention to when watching his game.
“I think they have said they really appreciate my toughness and IQ the most,” he said. “In addition to my overall feel for the game.”
Right now, Wade is open in the process and looking forward to hearing from more programs.
