Being under the tutelage of West Oaks Academy (FL) has it’s perks and 2021 guard Jahsean Corbett is figuring that out fast.

There’s very few schools that have the connections, can develop and can market their players as well as West Oaks, and in just a few weeks, Corbett has seen an uptick in his recruitment.

Samford recently offered the guard, Wofford recently reached out to speak to him and a ton more schools are showing interest.

“All of their coaching staffs are great,” he said. “We had great conversations.”

So far, after Samford offered they joined North Carolina A&T and Stetson as the programs that have offered. Florida Gulf Coast, Wofford, New Hampshire, North Texas, Boise State, College of Charleston, Southern Illinois, Columbia, Navy, Army and Air Force are showing interest.

“They say they like that I can spread the floor well,” Corbett explained. “And be able to handle the ball and shoot in transition really well and score.”

“Basically they like that I’m an all around player.”

Corbett is open and isn’t narrowing down anytime soon. He’s still talking to new coaches daily and has been trying to set up a few zoom calls and virtual visits.
