2023 Springfield Commonwealth (MA) guard Walt Andrews Jr. didn’t have to wait long for his first scholarship offer, but he definitely worked hard for it.
The talented 6-foot-3 guard confirmed through his Twitter account that Bryant extended him a scholarship offer.
“I was happy. I worked hard every day to get one and show coaches I’m different and I’m like that,” Andrews Jr explained. “And should be on more college coaches radar.”
Bryant along with George Washington are recruiting him at the moment.
Andrews is a player that has an improving offensive game, with a scoring ability that makes him standout amongst players his age. He could develop into one of the better offensive scorers in the northeast, but he’s also preparing to improve his status on the other side of the ball.
“My defense,” he said of what he needs to improve on. “That’s probably the only thing I need to work on.”
