Winchester (IN) center Payton Sparks received his third Division I offer a few days ago.

The coaching staff at Ball State reached out to the 2021 6-foot-9 center and extended an offer joining Toledo and Miami (OH) as the other programs that have offered.

“It’s really good,” he said of his relationship with Ball State. “We text almost every day and call sometimes.”

Hofstra, Elon, Davidson, Winthrop, Murray State, Evansville, Appalachian State, Tulsa, Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty, Duquesne, Valparaiso, Cornell, Penn, Virginia Tech, St. Peters, Dartmouth, Columbia and Lehigh, along with Ball State, Toledo and Miami (OH) are recruiting him right now, he told ScoopmanTV.

Sparks brands himself as a player that can do a little bit of everything from the post. He says that coaches like his, “ability to pass and being versatile,” while also enjoying his ability to protect the paint.
