You’ve watched the Harrison twins, Morris twins and Champagnie twins, now meet the Thompson twins.

Ausar Thompson and Amen Thompson of Pine Crest School (FL) are both around 6-foot-5 and hold early offers from Iowa State, Alabama, Florida Atlantic, South Florida and Oklahoma State.

Iowa State has been recruiting the two the hardest, while Oklahoma State, Baylor and Memphis have been to their schools to check them out. Kansas, USC, Miami and Texas Tech have all been in contact, along with California-Berkeley.

Amen confirms that colleges, “so far, they are recruiting us as a package deal,” and also said that they both are, “looking for a college that would take both of us.”

And so far, many colleges seem to be on board with the idea due to their improving skill sets and ability to play multiple positions on the floor.

“[Coaches] say they like our defense and our IQ,” Ausar said. “And how we get to the basket.”

Right now, the pair has been working on their trying to improve mostly on their shooting with an emphasis on the three point line.

They are also gathering information on the programs reaching out to them, which could possibly steer them towards HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges). When asked if it was a possibility, Ausar could only muster up a “maybe,” but as their recruitment goes on, if any reach out, it could be a strong possibility.

“All of my family went to HBCU’s,” Ausar explained. “And my parents always joke about me going to Howard…so maybe.”
